“Skating with the Wind” is a live-action anime opening aimed to critique of how video media in the modern age tends to use VFX rather than the alternative.

Tasked to creatively experiment with techniques and apply technical skills in Nuke to ‘fix it in post’. This small clip is my rendition of the theme “Writing on the Wall”.

Thinking about the theme “The Doorway”, I thought of multiple possible ways I could create a door without it being a door. Through this, I also wanted to try out how to create reflections effectively/how to remove a camera from a mirror.

From the theme “Turning Point”. My group created a short clip of the camera physically turning around the character where it changes from the real world to a CG world, somewhat like putting on VR goggles. I was in charge of 3D tracking and building implementation.
